Why use the name “why green potatoes”? What are green potatoes, why are they green and why does it matter. Do you assume I mean the potato tuber? Maybe I do, maybe I mean the potato fruits (if that’s what they are) or the whole plant, leaves and stems, that’s green too. But, hold on, the flowers are yellow, roots are whitish, tubers can be a whole range of colours from white to red, even blue or black. Some are more than one colour. Potatoes are an important food but green potato can be poisonous – most other foods can be too, how do you know how much is too much?

Lots of questions but no answers? Or lots of answers to the same questions. We each have our own based on what we believe (or believe we know) at the time. Our answers, though, depend on what question we are answering and that often depends on our prior assumptions about the subject in question.

So what is your answer…

why green potatoes?…….
